Healthy Eating

Providing you with healthy options is something your dining team proudly does every day. We help you select delicious, nutritious and satisfying meals, snacks and desserts by highlighting well-balanced menu choices and providing nutritional information and tips to help you make choices that fit your needs.

Simple Servings: A station that does not feature 7 of the top 8 allergens (including wheat, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs, and shellfish). We do feature fin fish as a protein option. This food is prepped in its own area in the kitchen and brought out to the serving lines where an attendant serves it. The attendant is trained on allergens and cross contamination. The serving utensils are purple (as is the prepping utensils) as another reminder that this is an allergen free station. Signage will be available at the station which will describe the food and list any allergens if any are present (outside of the 7 previously listed). If you have any questions about the food being served you can ask the attendant and, if they do not know they answer, they will ask the kitchen staff to come out and answer the question as well. This station is open for brunch and dinner on the weekends and lunch and dinner during the week. Although the food at the station is paired up to go together, you may pick and choose what you want rather than get all the options.

Daily Dish: A station that features more ‘homestyle’ food such as turkey, mashed potatoes, and corn. There is signage that describes the food and any allergens that may be in it. This station is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you have any questions about the food being served you can ask the attendant and, if they do not know they answer, they will ask the kitchen staff to come out and answer the question as well. Although the food at the station is paired up to go together, you may pick and choose what you want rather than get all the options.

Farm to Table: A station that highlights local meats, poultry, vegetables and other menu items from the Finger Lakes region.

Rustic Root: A station that features vegan options. This station is open for brunch and dinner on the weekends and lunch and dinner during the week. There is signage that describes the food and any allergens that may be in it. If you have any questions about the food being served you can ask the attendant and, if they do not know they answer, they will ask the kitchen staff to come out and answer the question as well. Although the food at the station is paired up to go together, you may pick and choose what you want rather than get all the options.

Deli: Made to order sandwiches available for brunch and dinner on the weekends and lunch and dinner during the week. We have gluten free bread available for sandwiches upon request. Please be aware that there is a purple cutting board and purple knives available to make sure people who have allergens can get their food made separately.

Salad Bar: We have revitalized our salad bar to incorporate increased variety of fresh vegetables, proteins, grains and dressings. This station is self serve.

Berry & Yogurt Bar:  This self serve station offers an assortment of fresh berries, yogurt and granola.  The granola does contain nuts and gluten; there is signage stating this at the station.

The Grill: We use canola oil in our fryers. We do make to order sandwiches (grilled cheese, burgers, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches) for lunch and dinner every day. If interested, students can also request grilled chicken breast and the grill cooks will serve that as well. Eggs are available to order every day / all day—fill out a chit (including the style of eggs you and topping selections) and our grill cooks will make eggs your eggs to order. The fries at the grill are gluten free as we do not use any products in the grill fryers that contain gluten.

MyZone: A gluten free, tree nut, and peanut free area. This area has its own designated refrigerator and freezer, microwaves, and toaster. All items are individually wrapped and do not contain gluten (or tree nuts or peanuts). Bagels, bread, muffins, cereals, and frozen entrees can be found in this area. We carry Amy products in this area; these items are both gluten free and vegetarian. This area also has soy milk and oat milk available as well as gluten free oatmeal.

Bella Trattoria: Made to order pasta station that is available for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. A variety of toppings and sauces are available. The attendants use a new pan for each order. Gluten Free pasta is available upon request.

Sakura: Made to order stir fry that is available at lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. This station will feature a variety of vegetables, proteins, rice or noodles and choice of sauce for the dish.  Gluten Free options are available at this station.

Toasting Island: The toasting island is where bread, bagels, waffles, and desserts can be found. We carry both vegan cream cheese and regular cream cheese as options for people getting bagels. Also, peanut butter packets and jellies are located here.

Staff: The front of house supervisors and managers are always available should you have any questions. The back of house supervisors and cooks will answer any question you may have as well.

Training: All managers and supervisor certified in Allertrain allergen training for the proper understanding and procedures in serving and handling food.

Cross Contamination: Our staff is trained on cross contamination and we have procedures in place to minimize this as much as possible.
